ஜூனியர் உலகக் கோப்பைப் போட்டியில் பாகிஸ்தானை வென்று இறுதி போட்டிக்குச் சென்றுள்ள இந்திய ஜூனியர் டீமுக்கு பாராட்டுகள் குவிந்து வருகிறது.
19 வயதுக்கு உட்பட்டோருக்கான ஜூனியர் உலகக் கோப்பைக் கிரிக்கெட் போட்டி, நியூசிலாந்தில் நடந்து வருகிறது. அரையிறுதி போட்டியில் இந்திய அணி, பாகிஸ்தான் அணியை இன்று எதிர்கொண்டு ஆடியது. இந்திய அணி 272-க்கு ஆல் அவுட் ஆனது.
சுப்மன் கில் அபார சதமடித்தார். பின்னர் ஆடிய பாகிஸ்தான் அணி, 29.3 ஓவர்களில் 69 ரன்னுக்கு ஆல் அவுட் ஆனது. இந்திய தரப்பில் இஷான் பொரேல், நான்கு விக்கெட்டுகளை வீழ்த்தினார். சதமடித்த சுப்மன் கில் ஆட்டநாயகன் விருது பெற்றார்.
இதையடுத்து இறுதி போட்டிக்குச் சென்றுள்ள இந்திய அணி, ஆஸ்திரேலியாவை வரும் 3-ம் தேதி சந்திக்கிறது.
இந்நிலையில் இந்திய ஜூனியர் டீமுக்கு சமூக வலைத்தளங்களில் பாராட்டுகள் குவிந்து வருகிறது. இந்திய அணியின் முன்னாள் ஜாம்பவான் சச்சின் டெண்டுல்கர், ‘பாகிஸ்தானின் இளம் வீரர்கள் தங்கள் முன்னோர் சுவடுகளை பின்பற்றியுள்ளனர்’ என்று கூறியுள்ளார். வீரேந்திர சேவாக், ’சிறப்பாக ஆடியுள்ளீர்கள். இறுதி போட்டியிலும் வெற்றி பெற வாழ்த்துகள்’ என்று கூறியுள்ளார்.
பிரசாந்த் என்பவர், ‘ஆர்ப்பாட்டம், ஆக்ரோஷம் எதுவுமில்லாமல், சைலண்ட் கில்லராக இந்திய அணி வெற்றிபெற்றிருக்கிறது’ என்று தெரிவித்துள்ளார். 
இந்திய கிரிக்கெட் வாரிய செயல்தலைவர் சிகே கண்ணா, ‘பயிற்சியாளர் ராகுல் டிராவிட் மற்றும் அவர் டீமுக்கு வாழ்த்துகள். அவர்கள் கண்டிப்பாக கோப்பையுடன் திரும்புவார்கள்’ என்று நம்பிக்கைத் தெரிவித்துள்ளார். இவர்களைப் போல ஏராளமான ரசிகர்களும் இந்திய ஜூனியர் அணிக்கு வாழ்த்துத் தெரிவித்து வருகின்றனர்.
