இதுவரை 40 டெஸ்ட் போட்டிகளில் ஆடி, 33.93 சராசரியில் 1900 ரன் அடித்துள்ளார். டெஸ்ட் போட்டிகளில் 9 விக்கெட்டும் எடுத்துள்ளார். டெஸ்ட் போட்டிகளைப் போல அல்லாமல் ஒருநாள் மற்றும் டி20 போட்டிகளில் ஒரு வெற்றி வீரனாக இவ்வளவு வருடம் வலம் வந்துகொண்டு இருந்தார்.
2002ஆம் ஆண்டு இங்கிலாந்துக்கு எதிரான நாட்வெஸ்ட் டிராபியை முகமது கைப் உடன் இணைந்து வாங்கி தந்தார் யுவராஜ் சிங். அது மட்டும் இல்லாமல் 2007ஆம் ஆண்டு ஸ்டுவர்ட் பிராட் ஓவரில் ஆறு பந்தில் ஆறு சிக்ஸர்கள் ஐந்து உலகசாதனை படைத்தார். அதன் பிறகு 2011 உலகக்கோப்பையில் பேட்டிங் மற்றும் பந்துவீச்சு என இரண்டிலும் சிறப்பாக செயல்பட்டு, இந்திய அணிக்கு கோப்பையை வாங்கி தந்த யுவராஜ் சிங் தொடர் நாயகன் விருதையும் பெற்றார்.
