10,000 ரன்களை கடந்து சாதனை படைத்த தல தோனி; கொண்டாடும் ரசிகர்கள்
சர்வதேச ஒருநாள் கிரிக்கெட் அரங்கில் 10,000 ரன்களை கடந்த இந்திய அணியின் முன்னாள் கேப்டன் தோனிக்கு பாராட்டுக்கள் குவிந்து வருகிறது.
இங்கிலாந்து சென்றுள்ள இந்திய கிரிக்கெட் அணி இங்கிலாந்து அணியுடன் மூன்று ஒருநாள் போட்டிகள் கொண்ட தொடரில் பங்கேற்றுள்ளது.
இந்த தொடரின் முதல் போட்டியில் இந்திய அணி வெற்றி பெற்றிருந்த நிலையில் இரு அணிகள் இடையேயான இரண்டாவது ஒருநாள் போட்டி லார்ட்ஸ் மைதானத்தில் இன்று நடைபெற்றது.
இந்த போட்டியில் இந்திய அணியின் முன்னாள் கேப்டனான தோனி தனது பொறுப்பான ஆட்டத்தின் மூலம் 32 ரன்களை கடந்த போது சர்வதேச ஒருநாள் கிரிக்கெட் அரங்கில் 10,000 ரன்களை கடந்த 4வது இந்திய வீரர் என்ற பெருமையையும், உலகளவில் 12வது கிரிக்கெட் வீரர் என்ற பெருமையையும் பெற்றார். இது தவிர 10,000 ரன்களை கடந்த இரண்டாவது விக்கெட் கீப்பர் என்ற பெருமையும் தோனியையே சேரும்.
இங்கிலாந்து அணியுடனான இந்த போட்டியில் இந்திய அணி படுதோல்வி அடைந்திருந்தாலும், தோனியின் இந்த சாதனையை சமூக வலைதளங்களில் கிரிக்கெட் ரசிகர்கள் கொண்டாடி வருகின்றனர். முன்னாள், இந்நாள் கிரிக்கெட் வீரர்கள் என பலரும் தோனிக்கு தங்களது வாழ்த்துக்களை தெரிவித்து வருகின்றனர்.
