தற்போது இந்திய அணி இலங்கைக்கு சென்று 3 மூன்று போட்டிகள் கொண்ட டெஸ்ட் தொடரில் விளையாடி வருகிறது. இந்த தொடர் முடிந்தவுடன் 5 ஒருநாள் போட்டிகள் மற்றும் 3 டி20 போட்டிகளில் இந்திய அணி விளையாடவுள்ளது. இதற்கான, இந்திய அணியை அறிவித்தது இந்திய கிரிக்கெட் வாரியம்.
இந்திய அணி கிட்டத்தட்ட ஒரே மாதிரி இருந்தாலும், இடது கை வீரர்களான யுவராஜ் சிங் மற்றும் சுரேஷ் ரெய்னாவை அணியில் சேர்க்கவில்லை. கடினமாக உழைத்து கொண்டிருக்கும் சுரேஷ் ரெய்னா, அணியில் இடம் பிடிப்பார் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கப்பட்ட போது, அவருக்கு இடம் கிடைக்கவில்லை.
